A simple estimate is runtime in hours equals battery capacity in Ah divided by device current in A. Real runtime may be lower because of efficiency loss, temperature, aging, and discharge cut-off voltage.

How do I convert mAh to Wh?

Use Wh = voltage x Ah. For example, a 3.7V 2000mAh battery is 3.7 x 2.0 = 7.4Wh.

How do series and parallel cells change a battery pack?

Series connection increases voltage. Parallel connection increases capacity and current capability. A pack may combine both depending on the target voltage and runtime.
